Integrated Optical Amplifiers on Silicon Waveguides

Optical amplifiers are important elements of photonic integrated circuits. We present a hybrid silicon evanescent amplifier utilizing a wafer bonded structure of silicon waveguide and AlGaInAs quantum wells.
